Hello Internet!

I suppose the first things you should know about this blog is that the title comes from an Emily Dickinson poem:

Let me not spill - its smallest cadence -

Humming - for promise - when alone -

Humming - until my faint Rehearsal -

You know that Portrait in the Moon -

So tell him who 'tis like -

The second thing you should know about me is that I really enjoy lists. So here goes:

1. My name is Sky and I am 21 years old.
2. I am a music education major, and I hope to direct a college choir one day.
3. I have one tattoo, an eighth note. (And I want many more.)
4. I don't like to answer questions about my "favorites" because they change way to often.
5. However, some things that I enjoy more than most are the color blue, singing in a choir, Emily Dickinson (duh!), Ray Bradbury, cats, Frightened Rabbit, Game of Thrones, Modest Mouse, John Green, Bloc Party, Harry Potter, poetry in general, Instagram, pretty hand-writing, doing crafty things, food, and my wonderful boyfriend!
6. I don't really know the purpose of this blog just yet, but I'm really excited about it.
